State Fair

We took Roo to the Tulsa State Fair yesterday. She rode the sky ride and loved it. She said "I'm not scared of heights mama!" We ate corn dogs, ice cream and a carmel apple. She played a midway game and won a live goldfish! Who gives away live animals to small children?? HaHa We had a a super fun time.

Corn Maze 2011

As soon as Sunday School was over this morning, Boo and I went with all of her church buddies on a road trip.  Russell & Kathy, David & Donna (Ry's Sunday School and Children's Church teachers) took all of the kids to the Corn Maze near Grove.  It was too cool.  There were slides, a corn maze, hay ride, tire swings, petting zoo, hay bouncer, pony rides, and even a cave.  The kids had an absolute blast.  We are already excited to go again next year.   

Labor Day 2011

We decided to take Boo to the Labor Day Parade and Carnival in Henryetta this year.  We met Uncle
Charles & Angel, Grandma & Grandpa, Uncle Tommy & Jennifer and all the kiddos.

First, the marching bands came by.  She danced and twirled in front of everyone. 

She, Baylor and Tommy watched until the floats would come.  As soon as they would throw candy, all three of them would jump up and run to get it. 

One of the churches that had a float gave all of the kids a little American Flag. 

She loves to hug! She get's that from her mama :)



All in all it was an awesome day.  After the parade, we went with Tommy to the carnival. They rode the big slide and the Dizzy Dragon.  They were both crying when it was time to go... which was also right around nap time.  :)

Riley's Tea Party

Riley and I attended a "Princess Tea Party" at Mrs. Hearon's house this weekend.  Mrs. Hearon and her family go to our church.  They are the best!  They bought all the girls a glitter princess headband, a new book and a collection of inspirational cards written for each girl from members of the church.

Mrs. Hearon's daughter, JeanAnne, made the cutest jewelry with the girls.  They made rock candy bracelets, jelly bean earrings and rings and a licorice necklace. 

They were adorable! Ry had as much fun eating them as making them. 

After the jewelry we had our tea party.  She had her own place setting marked "Princess Riley." We all had tea, cupcakes and other snacks.  It was an absolute blast!

We are so lucky to have our CHURCH family in our lives.

Saturday Night Races

We do not live too far from the Dirt Track so we decided to take Boo to watch last night.  Her favorite part, of course, was the popcorn and nachos.  She didn't fight me too bad on wearing the earplugs.  She actually watched most of the races and seemed to be interested. :)

During the Intermission, they have a dance contest for all of the kids.  She decided to really start shakin' it on the "YMCA." haha

Weekend to Remember

I just had to go ahead and mention this.  A few weekends ago Jake and I, along with four other couples from our church,  attended a biblical based marriage conference called "A Weekend to Remember."  It was so much fun. There were newlyweds, couples who were engaged and couples that had been married over forty years there.  Everything about it was absolutely fantastic.  I learned so much.  I would recommend anyone who hasn't been to go at least once. :)

Pirate Birthday Party

Because Riley's Birthday fell on a Wednesday we had her party last Friday night.  We decided to go to BounceU this year.  It was so much fun.  She had ten of her best buddies as well as quite a few family members attend.  The kids (and Jake, Robert & Tiffany haha) had an absolute blast.  She wore her pirate costume the entire night. (as well as a few times since) 

Her cake turned out absolutely awesome.  I took a pic to the woman who made it and it turned out even better than I had hoped.  It tasted great too!

My Baby Girl is 3!

Last Wednesday was Boo's Third Birthday.  It doesn't seem like she has been with us for three whole years! (And sometimes it seems like more. lol)  Because her birthday fell in the middle of the week... she and I just had a girl's day out.  We went to Chuckie Cheese for lunch.  We had pineapple pizza and Coke (Ry's Fav).  She absolutely loved when the real Chuckie Cheese came out.  She had to tell him her name, which at that exact time was "Princess Riley".  She rode a few rides but had a blast playing the games. 

Later that night... we had a cookout with Granny & PaPa and GiGi & Pots.  We ate, had some cookie cake and went out to play.  This pic is of her Pirate Ship Water Toy that Granny & PaPa gave her. 

My baby girl may be the most stubborn child this side of the Mississippi, but she is also the most intelligent, sweet, caring and adorable little girl on earth.  She still makes my heart melt when she says she loves me.  Jake and I are absolutely no doubt the luckiest parents on earth. 

Cookout at Granny & PaPa's

This weekend we took Ry to her Granny and PaPa's house.  Ry helped her Papa haul and pile the sticks up for the fire.  We sat around the fire and ate hot dogs and lots of good food.  She had a blast playing with her cousins Baylor, Jocee & Bailey.  After we all ate, the boys went out in the arena to get their horses ready to rope.  All in all, we had a super fun weekend. :)

A Day at the Zoo!

Yesterday was Ry's friend Abbie's 2nd Birthday.  She invited us to go to the zoo with her.

Once at the zoo it took Jake, Riley and myself like twenty minutes to find everybody.  There are no maps anywhere. :) lol  The zoo was great.  The weather was perfect and almost all of the animals were out and about which made it fun.  Abbie and Ry chased eachother around the entire zoo. 

They were pooped by the time we left. 

Pancake Breakfast

Yesterday I decided to take the morning off from work and take Boo to eat pancakes. (her favorite)

We went to Speedway Diner and they made her a Mickey Mouse Shaped pancake. 

I love spending time with my baby girl.  We had a great morning. :)

Easter Egg Hunt 2011

So... here we go.  I'll back track a bit and start with Easter.

Ry had a blast at church.  We had snacks with all of the other kids then hunted eggs.

She hunted eggs and prizes.  We counted them together and she had a whopping 53!

After we finished up hunting eggs she played on the merry go round.  She refuses

to sit down the PROPER way.  :)
